Planned Giving
Bequests - Some members believe that giving to Moose Charities through their will is only for the very wealthy. However, this is not the case. Members of any means, in all walks of life, leave money to important causes in this way. This is a relatively easy way to continue support, through your estate plan, of the important programs offered at Mooseheart and Moosehaven.

Charitable Gift Annuities – In exchange for a gift of cash or property, Moose Charities agrees to make fixed payments for the life of a donor (and perhaps their spouse). This option is suitable for older donors who have cash or appreciated property that produces little or no income.
Charitable Trusts
Charitable Remainder Trust
A Charitable Remainder Trust is a life income gift that pays income to you and/or other beneficiaries for a term of years or until your passing. When the trust terminates, Moose Charities receives the remainder of the trust.
Charitable Lead Trust
A Charitable Lead Trust is a gift that makes annual contributions to Moose Charities for a term of years. The property then passes to your heirs with substantial tax savings. You can safeguard your estate for your heirs while you help support Mooseheart and Moosehaven.
Life Estate Reserved – Moose Charities accepts a gift of property, either a personal residence or farm, and the donor retains the right to use the property for his or her lifetime.
Bargain Sale – Moose Charities purchases property for less than the fair market value or accepts a gift of mortgaged property.
