Moose Charities Resources

Moose Charities is charged with the primary goal of providing the necessary resources to enable the good works of helping needy children who live at Mooseheart Illinois, and is also devoted to assisting senior members who make their home at the senior citizen home community of Moosehaven

Legacy Of The Moose

The 'Legacy of the Moose' is a new approach to recognition of our legacy, and to acquaint our membership with the necessity and advantage of Mooseheart, the 'City of Children' and Moosehaven, the 'Haven of Contentment'. It was conceived and written to bring about a clearer understanding of why the Loyal Order of Moose continues as a progressive force in humanitarian service to mankind, and to explain the need for continued promotion of, and contributions for, the Mooseheart/Moosehaven Endowment Fund.

Golden Ball

The 'Golden Ball' is not new.  It was conceived and written by the famous author and philosopher of his time, Dr. Elbert Hubbard in 1914 when he was a regular contributor to Moose Magazine.

The 'Golden Ball' serves to demonstrate that unity of purpose is a necessary factor in the growth and progress of our Order, as told in the story itself.  Although the story of the Golden Ball was written long before Moosehaven was conceived, it has a double meaning now, as it affects both Mooseheart and Moosehaven.

The complete booklet on both the Legacy of the Moose and the Golden Ball is available online by clicking the following link.  The document is in Adobe PDF Format and you must have Adobe Reader to view and print the document.  Instructions are included below to obtain a free copy of Adobe should you need it.
