WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MOOSE

To be meritorious is to be deserving of honor or praise. When I hear this word, I immediately see Moose Members. Many of which I was lucky to meet during my very first Mooseheart promotion and graduation. We speak on the phone so often that being able to put a face to your voices and personalities was delightful.

Everyone at the Supreme Lodge was in high spirits expecting Moose members from near and far. Once our guests began coming in, I could understand the excitement of my peers. You were kind enough to share your stories with me about your own experiences at Mooseheart. It was amazing to hear how Mooseheart pulled you in by the heartstrings; how it became a tradition to try and make it to every graduation weekend. Seeing an audience of Moose Members cheering on the children of Mooseheart was one of the most heartwarming events I have ever witnessed. Moose Members may not be made from the same cloth, but when you put all of us together, we make a beautiful patchwork.
